Some people might look at Yvettes Bridal and see the most disorganised site, possibly combined with a colour scheme created by a bull rampaging through a paint shop.

However, look past the low grade pictures and into the statistics and things become a little clearer. Alexa reports the site is in the top one million sites world wide and in the top half million in the US alone, plus the domain name alone has a value of over $7,000 USD. Whilst this feat is not an overly difficult prospect for a main stream site, what is interesting is that it has been achieved with such a bad design – or has it?

Am I the only one who just sees the iPad as an iPhone on steroids?

Who is more famous, the iPad or Steve Jobs?

For what seems like an eternity the press have been telling us that Apple have this really secret product and the media build up to the launch was almost reached fever pitch. But, did none of the computer press see that Microsoft announced a very similar product a few weeks before – obviously trying to steal Apples thunder, and failing.

Its OK, Sir Tim Berners-Lee said typing “//” wasted people’s time and required them to use more paper. “I could have designed it to not have ‘//’. Really, if you think about it, it doesn’t need the ‘//’,” he admitted.
